I'm a technologist with a background in building web and native applications. Throughout my career, I've developed numerous apps across different platforms, but Accord is the most personal project I've ever undertaken.

The idea for Accord came from a simple observation: there was a clear need within the LGBTQ+ community that nobody was addressing.
While there are countless dating apps available, none of them were designed specifically for people seeking lavender marriages or marriages of convenience. This gap became painfully clear when a close friend of mine found themselves in a difficult situation.
They were facing intense family pressure to get married, and needed to find someone for a lavender marriage. But there was nowhere to turn. No dedicated platform existed. No safe space to connect with others in similar circumstances. They had to navigate this challenging situation alone, relying on chance encounters and word-of-mouth in a community that often operates in the shadows.
That's when I realized: if my friend needed this, countless others must too. And they deserve better than hoping to stumble upon the right person by chance.
